General Terms and Conditions
Subject of this agreement
These General Terms and Conditions regulate the legal relationship between you and Alpine Hotel Perren. The reservation or order confirmation, which is sent to you by email, fax or post, serves as the basis.
Cancellation
When you cancel a booking, we charge the following cancellation fees:
(IN WINTER)
- Up to 7 days before date of arrival: free of charge
- Less than 7 days before date of arrival: 100% of the agreed price
- In the event of not showing up without cancellation: 100% of the agreed price
(IN SOMMER)
- Up to 7 days before date of arrival: free of charge
- Less than 7 days before date of arrival: 100% of the agreed price
- In the event of not showing up without cancellation: 100% of the agreed price
Credit cards are checked by us electronically. If the credit card information is invalid, we will consider the booking as not guaranteed.
Options
Option dates are binding for both parties. Hotel Perren can automatically offer reserved rooms to others after the option period has expired, unless the customer has sent a written order confirmation. Alpine Hotel Perren must receive the confirmation on the last day of the option period.
Vouchers
Percentage vouchers & discounts cannot be accumulated - unless they are value vouchers.
Visitor's tax
A visitor's tax of CHF 3.00 will be charged additionally per person and night.
From 01.11.2022 the visitor's tax NEW is CHF 4.00 (children from 9 years CHF 2.00) and will be charged from 01.11.2022 for all bookings in the new period.
Liability/duty of care
The hotel room is to be used by the guest with the greatest possible care. The guest or the company must pay for any damage to property. The hotel accepts no liability for theft etc. or damage to material brought in by third parties.
Cooking is strictly forbidden in the hotel rooms.
Smoking cigarettes, shishas, e-cigarettes or similar products is strictly prohibited throughout the hotel. A fine of CHF 100 will be levied for non-compliance, in addition to the costs incurred for the fire brigade. Thank you for your understanding.
Lost property
Lost property will only be forwarded on the guest's request. The guest shall bear the costs and the risk of postage.
Governing law and place of jurisdiction
All legal relationships between you and Hotel Perren are governed by Swiss law.
DATA PROCESSING
ZERMATT TOURISM AND BONFIRE AG
Your booking data is also processed as follows:
- Your booking data (e.g. title, first name, last name, nationality, language, e-mail address, mobile telephone number, postal address, number of persons, arrival date, departure date, number of nights of stay and any visitor’s tax exemption) are forwarded to Bonfire AG and Zermatt Tourism (either by us or via our electronic booking system).
- Your booking data is recorded in a central database by Bonfire AG and/or Zermatt Tourism. If accommodation providers take part in Zermatt Tourism e-mail marketing, the guest data is likewise stored with the third-party provider «Salesforce» and used as part of the business relationship between the accommodation provider and the guest.
- Your booking data is processed exclusively in Switzerland and the EU.
- Based on this, Zermatt Tourism settles the visitor's tax owed and collects the corresponding amount from the service partners.
- Zermatt Tourism also reports information to the Federal Statistical Office.
- Bonfire AG and Zermatt Tourism grant the police access to the database with booking data so that the police can access relevant booking data for missing persons, for example.
- Zermatt Tourism uses the booking data to collect statistics (in particular regarding occupancy, length of stay, number of arrivals, etc.).
The legal basis for this data processing is the fulfilment of a legal obligation within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 (c) GDPR (billing and collection of visitor's tax/reporting to the Federal Statistical Office) and in the sense of Art. 6 para. 1 (f) GDPR (granting access to the police/collection of statistics).
Your booking data is only used for direct marketing purposes (e.g. newsletter distribution) if you have given us your consent for this.
